About Us

Emanant Origins weaves a tapestry of world instruments and ethereal vocal soundscapes designed to transport listeners into a realm of transcendence and unity. Our aim is to create an immersive sonic experience that guides audiences toward a connection with the original instance from which we all emanate.

At the core of the sound lies a unique balance of qualities — feminine and masculine, ascension and groundedness, nature and harmony, egalitarianism and wellness that guides listeners through a journey of self-discovery and healing.

The intention of each performance is to create a living, breathing collaboration, where the boundary between performer and audience dissolves, with each person contributing to the collective energy, merging with the music, the movement, and the moment.

What is ecstatic dance?

Ecstatic dance is a form of freeform dance where participants move freely without following specific steps or patterns, allowing them to express their emotions, connect with their inner selves, and explore their bodies' natural movements. Typically, there is no talking during the dance, and participants are encouraged to let go of inhibitions and self-consciousness, allowing the music to guide their movements. The environment is often non-judgmental and supportive, fostering a sense of community and shared experience.

This practice can be seen as both a form of meditation and physical exercise, offering benefits such as stress relief, increased mindfulness, and enhanced emotional well-being. Ecstatic dance sessions often start with a warm-up, progress into more energetic rhythms, and end with calming music, creating a holistic journey that mirrors natural human emotional cycles. The experience can be deeply personal, providing a space for individuals to process emotions and connect with others on a non-verbal, energetic level.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where participants lie down or sit in a comfortable position while being immersed in sound waves produced by various instruments such as gongs, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, and chimes. These sounds are created to induce deep relaxation and facilitate healing, as they resonate with different frequencies that can help balance the body and mind. The vibrations from the instruments are believed to influence brainwave activity, promoting a state of tranquility similar to that achieved in deep meditation.

The purpose of a sound bath is to provide a sensory experience that helps release stress, anxiety, and tension, while also encouraging mental clarity and emotional well-being. Participants often report feeling a sense of calm, clarity, and rejuvenation after a session. Unlike traditional music, the sounds in a sound bath are more about creating an atmosphere of harmony and resonance, allowing participants to disconnect from everyday concerns and connect more deeply with their inner selves.
